For the most part, the 2020 Volkswagen Jetta GLI in Green Bay WI will be the same vehicle that was just introduced last year. As a brand-new vehicle for the 2019 model year, not much needed to be changed or enhanced for the new year. Just because it’s mostly a carryover doesn’t mean there are zero updates or changes. For the new model year, the Jetta GLI will be available in two different trim levels – S and Autobahn. It will offer the next-generation Car-Net telematics system and, as long as you subscribe to a data plan, all models will come equipped with a built-in Wi-Fi network. The Autobahn trim level will also add wireless charging and the DCC adaptive damping system as standard features for the new model year.

All of those updates aside, the 2020 Jetta GLI is still an incredible machine. Powered by a 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, its capable of generating 228 horsepower while operating on premium fuel. The DCC adaptive chassis control offers more optimum tuning, as does the XDS Cross Differential System with VAQ mechanical differential. Performance brakes, progressive variable-ratio steering, performance monitor, 7-speed automatic transmission with Tiptronic and Sport mode and driving mode selection all just increase the Jetta GLI’s performance even further.
